New Concrete Block Facility Underway!
We are pleased to share that development of our new concrete block manufacturing facility in Avonmouth is well underway, the curing chambers are in situ and the floor slab is being poured. All is going well and we plan to produce our first bricks and blocks in July. At present, we continue to use our existing production facility to meet customer requirements.
What is a concrete curing chamber?
A concrete curing chamber is a specially designed structure used to create and maintain ideal conditions for curing freshly poured concrete produced blocks.
It provides a controlled environment in terms of temperature, humidity, and air circulation, which is essential for concrete to cure properly and achieve its desired strength and durability, quickly. Ultimately, using a concrete curing chamber can significantly improve the quality of the bricks and blocks produced.
How does a concrete curing chamber work?
A concrete curing chamber uses insulated walls and ceilings to control temperature, and a vapour barrier to manage humidity. The interior of the chamber is also equipped with heating, cooling, and humidity control systems to ensure the desired conditions are maintained throughout the curing process.
A concrete curing chamber is an essential tool for any construction project that requires high-quality and durable concrete structures and ensures consistent high-quality concrete products.
